Roads and Infrastructure
Bunya is responsible for the design and construction of integrated regional roads, including landscape and infrastructure, with an approximate length of 25 Kilometers on Al Reem Island, which interconnects various districts within Al Reem Island.

Our Achievements
Regional Roads, Landscape, and Infrastructure
At Present, approximately 15 Kilometers of regional roads and infrastructure construction have been completed and are open to public traffic. The landscape comprised hard scape (curbs and paving), soft scape (trees, palms, and plantations), a tertiary irrigation network, decorative lights (only civil works), and street furniture, including concrete planter boxes, benches, litter bins, and a cycle track.
Al Fay Park
Piloting the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Ghadan 21 initiative, Al Fay Park is a 26,600 squares meter public park located in the heart of Al Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. The park seeks to attract visitors with its unique character, boasting some 1800 native trees and palms. Park guests are treated to a dizzying array of recreational activities.
Design and Construction of Streetscape for The Median, Roads P&R
The project consists of the construction of cycle tracks, hardscape, softscape, pedestrian crossings, irrigation works, and the installation of traffic signs, steel bollards, and road furniture along the road P&R, including an area outside Repton school.

Surface Car Parking
Bunya is working alongside with DMT to study requirements for adding surface car parking in Al Reem Island.
Junctions Mitigation Measures on Al Reem Island
Study, design, and build to implement modifications to six existing junctions along Um Yifeenah Street for free flow traffic in accordance with the approved transportation master plans for Al Reem Island and Reem Hills.
Public Transport
Supporting Sustainable and Efficient Transport Across the Island
Cycle Track for Al Reem Island
Bunya is implementing the cycle routes/ tracks in the entire Al Reem Island as per DMT’s cycling master plan. Currently, the design of new cycle tracks and extensions of existing cycle tracks is in the final stages. With this implementation, Al Reem Island will have a circulation length of 25 km of cycle tracks.
Installation of Air-Conditioned Bus Shelters
In order to facilitate the commuters utilizing public transport/ bus services, and as per ITC’s request, Bunya will implement the provision/ installation of air-conditioned bus shelters at all the designated bus stops at various locations within Al Reem Island.
Al Reem Island-wide Transportation Master Plan Study
Update the previously approved transportation master plan for Al Reem Island, considering recent development master plan changes.
